On the one side they are silky to mimic the feel of the mothers womb. I don't know who figured out that the inside of the womb is silky feeling, but that's what I've been told. The other side is a minky fabric, very plush and soft. I added three different tags with different textures. Babies always seem to go for the tag so I decided to add some. One is silky, one is black and white (babies most recognizable colors) and one is small to add some interest. I have also added a soother clip, which can be used as a toy if baby doesn't use a soother.
I have made 3 different patterns so far. Two for girls and one for boys.
This is the original one I made for tiny tot...
Then I made this one for a friends new baby boy...
So they need a name! And I need your help! I've been thinking about it for a while but it's hard to compete with all the other fancy baby blankets out there. You've got the Taggies, the Sherpa's, the Cocalo's, the Zabba's, and the Petunia Pickle Bottom blankets! Any suggestions? I need something catchy and fun. And if I pick your name, I will send one to you. Whether or not you have a baby! :) Post your suggestion below!

I thought this text was applicable for Easter Monday, to keep us focused on what is in store for us! What a rich comfort it was that Christ died on the cross for OUR sins!
John 6:39-40 "And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of
all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's
will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have
eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

They're absolutely adorable Crystal!! I love the one with the duckies on it. No brainwaves yet about a good name but they sure are sweet!
ReplyDeleteSuch great blankeys Crystal! Speaking from a Mom who has had 6 kids with blankets.....this would be a great seller. I remember Spencer loving the tags on his blanket almost more that the blanket itself. I'll let you know if I come up with a name..... :-) Wishing you all the best in your endeavor!
ReplyDeletevery cute Chrys! I could have used a few of those for my kids...(4 of them!) Raelene still wants her "pilled" pillow if she's sad or tired! Maybe I should order one for her 7th birthday! As for a name... I too am coming up with a blank so far... but we'll keep thinking
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea Crys. How about call them "Momma's Love" blankies.
ReplyDeleteCrystal, Grant would like me to order one for a teacher who just had a baby boy--would you be willing to do that? (not creative enough for a name). If you have spare time, my sisters and mom are all coming this way on Thursday of next week and you could send it along with them...
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the suggestions family :) Still thinking and I will let you know! Aunt Val I am sending you a PM now!
